KT is set to roll out its 'Modoo-ui AI' (AI for Everyone) service in December, with the company claiming the offering can reduce AI operating costs by up to 20 percent. The service was unveiled at AI FESTA 26.
KT presented the new service at AI FESTA 26, positioning it as an accessible AI offering aimed at lowering the cost burden of operating AI for a broad range of users. The company's claim of up to 20 percent savings in AI operating expenses stands as the headline figure attached to the December launch.
The 20 percent figure represents a maximum, not a guaranteed reduction, and the claim has been assessed as largely accurate based on the available evidence. Details on how the savings are achieved, and which customer segments will benefit most, were not specified in the materials made public at the event.
The service's December debut places KT among Korean telecom players expanding their AI portfolios, though further specifics on pricing tiers and deployment options remain to be announced at launch.
For KT's push to make AI more affordable across the market, the claim of up to 20 percent lower operating costs is Mostly True.
