Chairman's Commitment

Chey publicly voiced his willingness to move up the groundbreaking of the Gwangju project. His remarks were made in his own words and were reported across three independent media outlets, each citing his direct statements as the primary source.

Project Significance

The Gwangju AI data center is a key component of SK Group's AI infrastructure push, aligning with Korea's broader efforts to build domestic AI computing capacity. The pledge to start construction early signals the group's intent to accelerate the timeline of the facility.

The chairman's early-construction commitment stands as a matter of stated intent; actual groundbreaking schedules remain subject to the project's official progress. The claim that Chey Tae-won expressed his will to begin construction of the Gwangju project early is True.
