ARTEX, an indie game that drew attention for its bank robbery premise, has been discontinued during development, according to information surfaced from the project's own public materials.
The verdict of "development halted" comes from the game's own documentation, including a tasks screenshot published in the ARTEX repository under the title "Autumn-27." The stoppage marks the end — at least for now — of a title whose premise of playing a bank robber had made it a talking point among players.
The claim that the project's cancellation is final is supported by the primary sources reviewed, though the materials do not explain the reasons behind the decision or whether development could resume at a later date.
Details such as the size of the development team, funding status, and a timeline for when the decision was made are not disclosed in the available materials. The repository screenshot listing tasks is the main public trace of the project's state.
The claim is Mostly True.
