Early-stage push, not a signed deal

The initiative is described as being in the promotion phase, prior to the signing of a sister city agreement. The characterization matches both stages of the process: the relationship is registered as pending, and no final pact has been concluded.

The City of Florence's official listing of its international partnerships could not be reached as a primary check; the city's partnership webpage timed out, and archived copies returned only a map legend without the underlying data. As a result, Florence's side of the arrangement remains unconfirmed by the Italian city's own records.

What remains open

Whether Florence has reciprocally listed Yongin as a prospective partner city is not yet established. The status of the relationship remains "in progress," and any further development toward formal signing has not been announced.

The claim that Yongin is pursuing sister city ties with Florence is True.
