Naughty Dog is working on a new entry in the Uncharted franchise, according to a report citing insider sources. The project is explicitly described as an original installment rather than a remake, though few details about its contents have emerged so far.
The report, which relies on insider sources, indicates the studio behind the Uncharted series and The Last of Us has a new Uncharted project in development. Sources stressed that the game is not a remake of an existing title, marking it as a fresh entry in the franchise.
Beyond that, little is known. The report does not specify the game's setting, story, protagonist, target platforms, or release window, and Naughty Dog has not publicly announced the project.
With the studio also associated with the upcoming Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the reported Uncharted project adds to questions about Naughty Dog's development pipeline. The exact scope of the new Uncharted title — and whether it continues the story of Nathan Drake's successor or charts a new course — remains unconfirmed.
The claim that Naughty Dog is developing a new, non-remake Uncharted entry based on insider sourcing is True.
