A Stage for Student AI Creativity

The exhibition is organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, the city's top education authority, and centers on works produced using generative AI technologies. The event reflects the office's broader push to incorporate AI into classroom practice and to give students hands-on experience with tools that are reshaping creative fields.

By framing AI as a creative medium rather than a subject of abstract instruction, the office is positioning the exhibition as both a showcase of student work and an extension of its digital education agenda. AI literacy has become a growing priority for Korean education authorities, and Seoul's school system has moved to expand AI-related programs across grade levels.

What the Exhibition Means for Schools

For students and teachers, the exhibition offers a public platform to display AI-assisted artwork, highlighting how generative tools are being introduced into school curricula. Such events serve as practical checkpoints for how quickly AI education is moving from policy documents into actual student output.

The exhibition also underscores the role of metropolitan education offices in driving digital education initiatives, complementing national-level efforts to embed AI skills in schooling. As school systems worldwide grapple with the arrival of generative AI, Seoul's decision to stage a dedicated exhibition signals a choice to engage with the technology in the classroom rather than restrict it.
